My Review
Having already fallen in love with all the Walker sons it was interesting to go back to the beginning and see where it all started. Let’s just say that those boys came by their raunchiness and loyalty honestly! The road that Lori and Curtis had to travel was full of bumps and bruises, but the end result was so worth it. My breath was stuck in my throat and I was in tears by the time it was over. You look at their life from the outside, see their 7 wonderful sons, and think everything was easy. Well, that’s so far from the truth…
I really enjoyed their innocence in the beginning. Being 15 and 17, it made their relationship more believable, even though it was the 60’s and a different era than now. I appreciated that even though they married really young, they were allowed the time to grow into really loving each other. That being said, I’m still pissed at Curtis for how he went about that. I get he had good intentions but it darn near broke my heart.
I loved growing up with these two characters and it makes me want to go back and read the Walker boys all over again! Phenomenal start to a new series!
