My Review:

“I’ve never been like this. Everything in me wants you.”

So I completely devoured both the books in this series in less than two days. While I loved the first one, I felt it lacked a little in the substance department. I’m here to tell you that where I thought One to Hold faltered a little, One to Keep MORE than made up for it. Hot sex, a mystery office affair, and did I mention HOT sex????

We moved as if burning need would consume us both if we took longer than absolutely necessary.

Told in the POV of Patrick Knight, we are drawn back into the work of private security. Patrick and Elaine played the sidekicks in the first book, but this story was all about them. One thing I absolutely love in books, that is also very rare, is a story told entirely by the man. As a woman, we always wonder what goes on in their head; if they are feeling the same things we are; if they are overanalyzing everything as I know I am certainly guilty of. Not only was this true about Patrick, but the depth of his emotions shook me to my core. His side relationships kept the laughter coming in the book, and Kenny was so endearing.

She was mine. No matter what came next. With a calm confidence, I knew I’d never let her go again.

Despite all his faults, Patrick just wanted to be loved. He thought he had that with his ex, but then she royally screwed him over, literally. Until he meets Elaine, all his decisions revolve around the one that ruined him for other women. But then the fated desert trip comes into play. If you thought Derrick and Melissa story was smoking, just want until you read about Patrick and Elaine’s time at the spa. Whew……have a fan handy and a change of panties. You’ll need them.

She was my heart and my soul. She was the one I’d never get over. She was the one I would always keep.

Overall, I was very happy with where Tia took us in this book. I hear that we have a novella to look forward to as well as a full length novel of Kenny’s story. I cannot WAIT to read that one! Give this book a chance. I know you’ll fall in love with them as much as I did!

The search ended here. I was where I belonged in Elaine’s arms, and nothing would ever change that. She was my forever.
