Michael Gallo found his calling in life – he wants to kick ass. He works at Inked as a piercer, but spends his mornings training and dreaming of winning an UFC championship. Michael is the road to achieving his goal when a chance encounter alters his world forever. The title is no longer enough – he must capture the woman of his dreams.

Dr. Mia Greco is dedicated to saving lives and helping those less fortunate. She doesn’t have time to meet Mr. Right with her busy schedule. She buries herself in her work and helping humanity. Fate steps in and sweeps the carpet out from under her. She tries to deny the pull to him, a man that uses his fists for gain, but the universe won’t let her walk away so easy and Michael isn’t one to take no for an answer.

He has a secret that may rip them apart. There are forces bigger than them at work; drawing them in and making their worlds collide – not letting either one of them walk away.

“I can’t believe you’re going to leave me like this?” I pointed to the erection wanting to burst through my sweatpants.

“Yep, you’ll survive. It’s not a life threatening affliction,” she laughed as she adjusted her shirt. “You have to go see your brother and I need to go home for a while.”

“I can call for Christ sake. This can only be fixed by you.” I adjusted my dick in my pants.

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder,” she said pulling up her pants.

I stood up and walked toward her as she backed away. “Fuck my heart, it’s my dick that’s aching.”

“Call me when you’re done and I’ll see what I can do to help you out with that little situation.” She picked up her keys off my kitchen table and I tried to grab her arm but she moved away quicker than I thought possible.

“Come here, woman.” I darted to the left using the edge of the table to get greater traction.

She squealed and ran the opposite direction. “You may be big, but I’m quicker, Mikey.”

I moved to the left and quickly to the right, trying to throw her off kilter. “Woman, what did I tell you about callin’ me Mikey?”

She placed her hands on the table and leaned over it with her shoulders wide. “I must have forgot, but I remember there was talk of punishment… Mikey.”

I moved again and reached for her arm but she slipped from my grip. “Fuck, this god damn hard-on is slowing me down. Rub it for me, please.” I looked down with a pout on my face but kept my eyes on her the best I could.

“You’re a pig.” She stuck out her tongue and as her eyes closed I moved as fast as I could to grab her.

I grabbed her arms and drew her against my body. “Got ya. Come on, Mia. I can be quick.” I ran my tongue up her neck and nipped her earlobe. Her laughter grew quiet as a moan escaped her lips and her breasts pressed against me. “Please,” I whispered.

“No,” she said in a breathy tone.

I grabbed her breast and stroked her hard nipple with my thumb. “I’ll make it worth your while.” I started to push her back toward the tabletop.

“I don’t want quick. I want long and hard.” She bit my lip and laughed. “Call me when you’re done and if you’re good I’ll make it worth your while,” she said against my lips, causing my cock to twitch.

“Cock block.” I released her from my grip.

“I’d classify myself as more of a pussy hoarder than a cock block.” She kissed my cheek and it took everything in me not to slam her to the table and rip her pants off her.

“You’re maddening.”

My Review:

If there is one thing I love in books almost as much as a total male POV it’s series that involve families. As in each book is about a different family member, but the others still show up throughout the series. Chelle does an excellent job of feeding my addiction by adding in a ton of heart and sexiness as well. First we had City and Suzy; on deck now is Michael and Mia. Their whirlwind romance was filled with doubt, adventures, lots of sexy time, one fabulously pierced cock, and a myriad of swoon-worthy moments. Michael pulled Mia out of her shell and taught her it was okay to take a chance on people and Mia showed Michael that there was more to life than a quick lay. Breaking down walls all over the place, I thoroughly enjoyed the chase!

Ultimately, I loved how sweet yet sexy this book was. I didn’t love it as much as the first book, but it was great in its own right. Toss in one coo coo ex-lover and you have one heck of a funny book. I loved how he fought for her. There is something so primal and raw about a man in love fighting to keep his woman. It satisfies a need in me that I didn’t realize I had. All I can say is, I need more! Cannot wait for future books in this series.
