We met in a nightmare.
The in-between world where time had no power over rhyme, reason, or connection. We met. We stared. We knew.
There was no distortion from the outside world. No right or wrong. No confusion or battles from hearts and minds.
Just us. In our silent dream-world.
That nightmare became our home. Planting ghosts, raising fantasies. Entwined together in our happily skewed reality.
We fell in love. We fell hard.
In those fleeting seconds of our nightmare, we lived an eternity.
But then we woke up.
And it was over.

My Review
“Innocence doesn’t matter when ignorance is what people prefer.”
Where do I even begin? Since the very first Pepper Winters book, which seems so long ago and really wasn’t, I’ve been a huge fan! There is just something about her writing and storylines that is so unlike anything else on the market. And in a market that is so overly saturated, this is a breath of fresh air. She writes dark and dirty like no other can and it never seems forced. I’d been hearing about this series for a while now, and as usual, she never ceases to amaze me. With Ruin & Rule, Pepper finally tackles the MC world, all while keeping us entangled in something so dark and sinister, you don’t seen any of the twists and turns coming. I can promise you this; even when you think you have it figured out, you don’t. That is the true beauty of a Pepper story; she keeps you on your toes until the very end and even then, sometimes, beyond that. All you can do is hold on for the ride and hope you come out the other side with an ounce of sanity. But even then, you wouldn’t change a thing.
Suicide by kiss – death by lover’s embrace – that was my choice.
Even when I wanted to kick Kill in the balls, I loved him deeply. I could see through the carefully constructed wall he fortressed around himself; I could see clearly the cracks. With each chisel of the hammer, my heart bled for him. I was so sure it was true, and I wanted him to believe. I wanted it for him. I wanted it for her. I love that throughout most of the book, you don’t even know her name. I loved that it starts out with a bang that you can’t see how our main hero will make it through to the other side with his soul intact. But I love even more how it all comes together. Yet even then, when it does, you can clearly tell our story isn’t over. I came for the dark and disturbing; I stayed for the love story. Be forewarned folks; this book is NOT a standalone. It’s a duet and the final installment will be out in January. That being said, even though I LOVE cliffhangers, as far as they go, this one wasn’t too bad for those of you that abhor them. This book was nothing short of magical and I cannot wait to see where she ends our journey!
“You said you wanted everything from me.”
“And did you give me everything?”
I said softly, “There was nothing to give. You owned it all already.”

Questions Answered about Ruin & Rule
1. Is this a Dark Romance?
Compared to say Quintessentially Q and Indebted Series, no, this isn’t as dark. However, it’s still set in a biker world so it’s not all petals and promises.
2. Is Ruin & Rule a standalone?
No, it’s not. There is a cliffhanger. However, the next book Sin & Suffer is the final book so it’s not a long running series. It’s known as a Duet or Duology. So yes, there is a cliffhanger but only one more book to finish the tale.
3. Does it follow the same characters?
Yes, Ruin & Rule and Sin & Suffer follow the same couple.
4. How long is Ruin & Rule?
it’s 136,000 words so a big book.
5. Where can I buy Ruin & Rule?
Online, like you can with all my books on Amazon, iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Google Play, along with on book shelves in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
6. Why can’t I get Ruin & Rule in a store in the UK or other country?
The rights for UK and other countries have to first be purchased, translated, and stocked. It will be available in the future hopefully. You can still buy online, or order a paperback through amazon.
7. What can I expect when reading Ruin & Rule?
Well, I hope you can expect my writing style, a book full of romantic angst, unfailing love, and twists and turns you don’t see coming. (This book focuses on love and relationships, it’s definitely the most angst filled and love-connected book I’ve written so far.
